American Made Brand Fabric

Fabric that is 100% sourced and manufactured in America you say!? Heck yes!

We are super excited to bring you this beautiful pallet of cotton solids from American Made Brand! AMB's mission is to reach back to and revive America's proud tradition of textiles.

The entire process behind this beautiful fabric takes place right here in the USA. Farmers grow their cotton across southern and western states, then it is transported to local mills where it is spun into smooth beautiful cotton yarn. The yarn then travels to one of the oldest operating weavers in the country, and finally the yardage is dyed into a spectrum of stunning solids by yet another American company!

To celebrate our love for American textiles, American Made Brand is hosting a competition: Farm To Fabric Challenge. They want to hear, through your quilt, what it means to you to have fabric production brought back to the USA. Quilts that celebrate the "Farm to Fabric" theme and that are made entirely from AMB fabric can be entered into this juried exhibition. Check out more details here.

We can't wait to see what you make with this beautiful, homegrown cotton fabric!

New Angora Bunny Wool!

Fluffy clouds of soft angora bunny fiber is here! This locally raised angora is from a small fleet of bunnies right here in Denver.

Natural Angora Colors: White  |  Tort  |  Agouti  |  Blue  |  Black

Twelve cute French angora rabbits owned by Peggy Pearlman provided us with this rainbow of five natural colors. Handspinners, this is one amazingly soft fiber! Angora is super warm and insulating and can be blended with other fibers to add a sweet halo to your handspun--or you can spin it all by itself for an amazing yarn.

Emily has been spinning some 100% Angora yarn in the natural Agouti color. She is knitting it into what will be a beautiful Shetland-style shawl with a lace edging in Tort.

Her fiber came from her own adorable bunny, Ms. Queen Victoria. (Branwyn the shop dog's sister!)

An Abundance of Locally Handspun Yarns!

Local handspun yarns galore! We've just picked up yarns and roving by local handspinners and hand-dyers. We love the texture and colors that you just can't get any other way. Meet some of our local artisans and their yarns!

Eat Agar by local handspinner Desiree is a delicate single ply yarn that is just a little bit crazy, with its tweedy mix of fibers and colors, and a few perfectly placed lumps and bumps.

Pinkilicious handspun by Pink is a chunky single with a high twist, hand-dyed in super saturated colors.

Sleep Season Goods by Megan features hand-dyed sock yarns and handspun yarn from wool that Megan dyes herself in gorgeous colors. Hey handspinners, we also carry her roving for you to spin up too!

Stop by soon to see all these beauties for yourself!

New US Shetland Rustic Lace Yarn!

Elemental Affects new Rustic Shetland Lace has got everything we love going on.

It is US raised and milled heritage breed fiber from the adorably tiny Shetland sheep. The yarn is crunchy in all the right ways and has a beautiful texture that is unique to small batch yarns.

The yarn is over-dyed, the dye layered on top of the heathered brown-grey of the sheep's natural color which gives it a lovely depth.

Jaime has already cast on for a Wispy Cardi (a popular pattern around here lately), which will only take one skein of the Rustic Lace!

Horndribbles Are Back!

The adorable Horndribbles plushies are here again! Local crafty artist Lucas Richards has filled the Fancy Tiger Crafts windows with his woolly one-of-a kind monsters. These handcrafted cuties will be for sale through the end of July.

Each unique Horndribble monster possesses its own monster personality. I love their little faces!

Bring an item of clothing by Fancy Tiger Crafts to drop off and we will give you all the details. You get to pick your own ink colors, too! New! Crooked Fence Alpaca Roving and Mill-Spun Yarns!

We're in love with the new Crooked Fence Alpaca roving and mill-spun yarns!

These cutie-pie alpacas from a few small farms in Utah make the softest, warmest fiber. Alpaca fleece comes in tons of natural colors--white, beige, silver, rose-grey, charcoal, chocolate, natural black and everything inbetween. Crooked Fence then mills them into endless natural color combinations for tweedy and barber-pole style handspinning.

If you aren't ready for handspinning we also have alpaca yarns from Crooked Fence. These chunky, mill-spun, super soft yarns have the look of a beautiful handspun but are made in a small, local mill owned by the farmers, where they and other small alpaca farmers bring their fleeces to be processed into roving and yarn. They are so special and lovely!

And now, here is a cute baby alpaca for your viewing pleasure.

...or is she a baby unicorn?
