Six is Swell!

Fancy Tiger is Six!

We had a blast on Saturday at our 6 year anniversary party. Thanks to everyone who came out it was our busiest day in the history of Fancy Tiger! When we arrived at the store there were already some fancy fans lined up to be the first to celebrate.

We had a special gift for the first 150 people, thanks to our fantastic vendors who donated tons of prizes!

There were new bumper stickers and temporary tattoos for all, and the tats were a total hit! Everyone was looking pretty tough.

Also...new Fancy Tiger Crafts tees were printed! There are still some of these available if you were unable to attend this Saturday.

We were delighted when our friend Nohl stopped by to show off his fancy tiger face paint!

We had, as usual, some tiny, adorable customers showing their Fancy Tiger pride. You can tell these crafty girls have good taste--one is already a Liberty of London fan!

Sweet Action Ice Cream gave us a fantastic birthday present--our very own ice cream flavor! Fancy Peanut Butter has chocolate covered pretzels in it. Yum!

Thanks, everyone who came out to celebrate with us! And thanks, Denver, for 6 fantastic years of craftiness.

3 Years of Crafting Awesomeness!

Our 3 year anniversary party was a success! Thanks everyone who came out for the celebration! We had delicious treats from Gaia, herb infused wine, and free gifts for all thanks to our wonderful vendors.

We were super excited that everyone came out wearing their handmade outfits - here are some of the inspiring projects people were sporting:

Thanks Denver for 3 awesome years! xo - jaime and amber

The Cutest and Most Teeninesiest Buttons of All Time!

I just found the cutest and most teeninesiest buttons of all time. These three little ones were nestled in the bottom of a recent batch of vintage buttons we acquired, huddling together under the big buttons and hiding with the dusty bits of string and mismatched rusty snaps. I almost ate them they are so cute.

Perhaps if you were going to make a winter coat for your pet finch or mouse this fancy button would be perfect!

Fun and Cuteness at the Estes Park Wool Festival

We had a super fun time at the Estes Park Wool Festival this weekend, drooling over lovely yarns and rovings and petting super cute animals. We fell deeply in love with a baby angora rabbit, which we named Apricot and nearly, just nearly, brought home with us. What do you think of a fluffy Fancy Tiger store mascot to pet and hug while you shop? Oh, Apricot, you little fawn furrball, why didn't we take you home with us?!

We met sweet angora goats whose eyes disappeared under all their shining mohair locks.

And our dear friends, Peg and Woody from Pinon Wood Ranch, let us cuddle their baby Shetland sheep, Hershey Kiss.

We brought home tons of goodies, including naturally dyed rovings from Handspun by Stefania, some amazing lace weight yarn from Skaska, a beautiful walnut drop spindle from Magpie Woodworks, and pretty, pretty mohair locks from Kai Ranch. Yummy!
