New! Pagewood Farms Hand-dyed Roving & Locks

For all the spinners and felters--we now have hand-dyed rovings and mohair locks from Pagewood Farms! The hand-dyed merino roving is super soft and comes in lovely kettletastic hues.

The mohair locks with their super cute little curls are so shiny and silky, perfect for needlefelted horsey manes or luscious shine and texture in handspun yarns.

Severija Inčirauskaitė-Kriaunevičienė: Hot Cross Stitching!

We are totally inspired by this and had to share it! Severija Inčirauskaitė-Kriaunevičienė is Lithuanian artist who takes everyday metal objects and transforms them by piercing the metal and covering it with cross stitch. Check out more of Severija's work here.

Next project: drilling 5,000 holes in the hood of my car. Can I please?

Better Know A Crafter: Joanna Meyer

Joanna came in to Fancy Tiger recently with her new Ruthie Clutch. We hadn't seen the Anna Maria Horner finished purse yet and we were so excited to see it in person. So cute!

Joanna Meyer

1) Tell us a little about yourself.
I am insatiably crafty and love sewing. Although I sometimes get in over my head with projects that exceed my ability, I enjoy the process of combining color and fabric to bring an idea to life.

2) Tell us about the adorable bag you made.

I made this clutch purse using Anna Maria Horner pattern. The heavy interfacing made it a challenge, but I like how it turned out.

3) How did you learn to sew?
I learned basic sewing from my mom as an adult, but I am primarily self taught (which explains why I often have to rip out seams!) I recommend the quilted table runner class that Jessica Bridge teaches at Fancy Tiger.

4) What is your favorite animal?
Rabbits and squirrels.

Thanks Joanna! Good job on your super cute bag!

New! Addi Click Interchangeable Needle Sets

Now available at Fancy Tiger Crafts, the highly anticipated Addi Clicks interchangeable knitting needle sets!

Skacel's Addi Turbo knitting needles are known for their loyal knitter following. The needles are sleek and speedy--once you use them you may not be able to knit with any other needle. The new Addi Clicks are the same quality with the added feature of endless combinations of needle length and size. The needle and cord click together to create a super smooth join.

The set comes with an Addi golden heart pin so you can show off your knit-tasticness to all the seriously hardcore knittin' folk. Sweet.

Better Know A Crafter: Shaunna McIntosh

Shaunna recently took the A-Line skirt class at Fancy Tiger Crafts and was a star pupil. She is now cranking out cute summer skirts all on her own. We love this one, a sugary sweet Japanese print with pets in polka dots on a hot pink gingham.

Shaunna McIntosh

1) Tell us a little about yourself.
I am not a very "crafty" person, but I started knitting and felting 2 1/2 years ago and many mittens and slippers have followed. It's a great way to relax. I've been a little scared to sew, but it has been easier than I would have thought.

2) Tell us about your cute skirt.

This is only the second item I have sewn. I took the a-line skirt class at 10am and had finished this (second) skirt by 7pm. Fun and addictive.

3) How did you learn to sew?
I have taken all my classes at Fancy Tiger. Krista and Christina are wonderful.

4) What is your favorite animal?
I am a cat person.

Here is the cute print Shaunna used for her skirt and some of the other super kawaii fabrics we have in right now.

Thanks Shaunna! Happy sewing!
