American Made Brand Fabric

Fabric that is 100% sourced and manufactured in America you say!? Heck yes! 

We are super excited to bring you this beautiful pallet of cotton solids from American Made Brand! AMB's mission is to reach back to and revive America's proud tradition of textiles. 

The entire process behind this beautiful fabric takes place right here in the USA. Farmers grow their cotton across southern and western states, then it is transported to local mills where it is spun into smooth beautiful cotton yarn. The yarn then travels to one of the oldest operating weavers in the country, and finally the yardage is dyed into a spectrum of stunning solids by yet another American company! 

To celebrate our love for American textiles, American Made Brand is hosting a competition: Farm To Fabric Challenge. They want to hear, through your quilt, what it means to you to have fabric production brought back to the USA. Quilts that celebrate the "Farm to Fabric" theme and that are made entirely from AMB fabric can be entered into this juried exhibition. Check out more details here.

April Rhodes: Arizona has arrived!

Beloved designer April Rhodes' first fabric line has arrived: Arizona. It is simply stunning! Arizona is inspired by April's love for the Southwest and tribal design. Growing up in the Midwest helped create her wanderlust for the Southwest. Surrounding herself with photos and dreams of traveling there, she developed her own modern take on the colors and beauty, and this fabric line was destined to happen!

Arizona has a stunning soft, current color palette and an incredible modern take on the Southwest's unique style and flair.

This garment friendly collection is not only offered in Art Gallery's silky pima cottons--it also comes in a voile! And KNITS!! We couldn't ask for more! All of us here at Fancy Tiger have projects lined up to make out of Arizona. Don't worry, we ordered several bolts of everything so we all can have enough!

Craft Up A Trend: Nautical Style

Nautical style is super adorbz! We've been seeing it everywhere--in some of our favorite local shops and on the streets of Denver as the weather turns warmer.

The Jasmine top sewing pattern by Colette is a sweet and feminine take on a sailor top. A light cotton voile in navy and white polka dots would be perfect!

Knitting guru Emily is already on the right track with this trend, knitting an Aidez cabled aran cardigan in deep royal Cestari Worsted (100% US raised and milled wool yarn). The free pattern from Cirilia Rose is a hip take on a classic fisherman's sweater.

The Anchors Away collection by Dear Stella is nautical to the max with nets, knots, sailboats and anchors. Summerime pool bag? Yes.

Erquy by Heather Dixon is a saucy, striped camisole, and would be perfect knit up in shiny Pima Cotton by Cascade.

We've been anxiously anticipating the arrival of Colette's brand new patterns and just love the new shorts pattern, Iris. Made in Essex yarn-dyed cotton linen and embellished with four bright red tagua nut buttons, tehy would be perfect for lounging on your sailboat.

Narwhals! Mysterious creatures of the high seas! Ysolda captured their adorable-ness in her mitten pattern from Whimsical 3.

A summer dress? Little boy's button down shirt? Pretty much anything would be amazing made out of this "French" sailor print on double gauze from Japan.

We love jersey! And what's better than jersey? Striped jersey! The Renfrew pattern from Sewaholic is the perfect pattern to get you sewing up a summer wardrobe's worth of cute tees. Sailors beware, this adorable toothy shark by Woolbuddy will teach you to needlefelt and then be your friend forever if you let him!

New Yarns from Habu Textiles + A Knitted Nest for Your Airplants!

Adorable yarns from Habu Textiles have arrived! Habu is known for their irresistible brown paper wrapped bundles and cones of yarn. These yarns knit up to create fashion forward textures using intriguing fibers--papery yarns from linen and cotton, raw silk, super fine brushed mohair...

These little guys are raw silk wrapped linen ribbon, crisp and light and like nothing else! We imagine light flowing tanks for spring.

The new Knitted Nests pattern from Coco Knits is a sublime way to use some of these lovely yarns. We picked up several super-cute air plants from Ironwood just down the street and knit up a little nest for each one.

The Cotton Linen Paper Moire yarn we used for this little nest has a confetti texture--little wisps of linen paper are caught between a fine cotton core.

Habu's lace kid mohair is super fine, for delicate knitting that seems lighter than air. It has 311 yards in this cute bundle, so this tiny package goes much further than you would guess!

This Printed Cotton "Gima" (Japanese translation: fake linen) is crisp like linen but made from 100% cotton. It is a fine ribbon yarn and with an organic printed pattern which adds to the fun texture.

Another cotton linen paper moire yarn, this all-natural yarn is a wilder version of the yarn we used for our knitted nest sample!

Shiny New Yarns Are Here!

We just received a big box of the shiniest yarns we've seen in a while. We aren't talking glitter, we are talking the natural shiny sheen of silk, mohair and pima cotton.


Here is Cascade's brand new Kid Seta. It is much softer than the previous version of their yarn by the same name, and has a beautiful silk that lights up and shines inside the halo of soft kid mohair. We're dreaming of light, airy shawl for cool spring evenings.


Also just in is Ultra Pima Cotton by Cascade. This is the softest and shiniest cotton yarn ever! Perfect for light summer cardigans, shiny totes and washable baby items.

New! Swanky Swell Screenprinted Fat Quarters!

Swanky Swell fat quarters are here! These modern prints are designed and hand screenprinted by Nina Jizhar on an organic cotton/hemp fabric.


This super eco-friendly fabric is sturdy enough for bags and small upholstery projects and is oh so pretty and unique!
