Oh man. Craft night has been sooo crowded the last two weeks and i haven't taken any photos. I know, lame. So here are some verbal photos of some of the awesome projects going on. Projects are finally being finished for the holidays including some amazing handspun two-ply yarn that was completed and an adorable snake scarf that was also finished. H. finished the cutest knitted rose brooch for her grandmother as well as the scarf she has been working on for her mom. M. , K and i started our wristwarmers on double pointed needles that made us feel like beginner knitters again, but are coming along nicely. J. made the cutest needlepoint wristcuff that is a prototype for a class we will offer in February. A and E were working on adorable crocheted mushrooms that we are all dying to see finished! So that i don't completely bore you, i've enclosed pictures of some of my current projects including an owl pillow and the bike i'm working on as i type.

Holiday Craft Mayhem is upon us. This is when you have 1 month left to make a bijillion gifts and you're getting sooo frantic. In order to help, Fancy Tiger is having Holiday Craft Mayhem 2006!! This is a weekend long craft session (14 hours of crafting!)! Coffee, Tea, Redbull, and treats will be provided to keep you crafting and my idea book is ready for browsing if you still haven't decided what it is you're making. Also, most craft supplies will be on sale! I'll see you there!
Craft night was sweet with new faces and lots of gift being made. Knitting, crochet, spinning and embroidery were all represented last night. Also, H. brought in the "idees" issue of Marie Claire which was basically a really hot craft magazine all in French. Its the hottest thing i've seen all month. I've got to pick it up. It included the little palm-reading embroidery pattern, with the different lines labeled in French. I'm working on that one as i type. HOTT.

Tatting!! Craft night last night was huge - probably due to the need to make a bijillion holiday gifts! Three other crafters and i set out to learn tatting, an old method of lace making that i'm determined to re-popularize. Tatting is fabulous because you can make adorable little doilies, perfect for applique or jewelry and it only requires an inexpensive shuttle and thread. Thank god L. stopped by to help us as she had some experience. K and i decided it was ridiculus to use tatting thread which is so thin, so we switched over to embroidery floss, which was easier and more colorful. These pictures will help get you amped up for tatting!! Other awesome craft night crafts included felt bird ornaments, embroidered onesies and lots of knitting!!
